My Take

What grabs me about Onwenu is the sixth-round story. Getting picked that late in the 2020 draft usually means a fight just to make the roster, yet the Detroit kid out of Michigan turned himself into a genuine fixture on the Patriots' offensive line. Guards do the thankless work: no stats, no glory, just protecting the quarterback and opening lanes with their bodies. I have a soft spot for late-round players who refuse to accept the label assigned to them, and Onwenu silenced the doubt the only way that counts, with sustained play.
