Mick Taylor is, to me, the most underrated craftsman of the Rolling Stones era. Plucked from John Mayall's Bluesbreakers as a barely-twenty prodigy, he gave Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St. a fluid, lyrical sophistication that contrasted beautifully with Keith Richards' raw groove.
