My Take
Mike Tyson is, to me, far more than the most feared heavyweight who ever lived. From Brooklyn poverty he unified the division and earned the title of the baddest man on the planet, but what holds my attention is the full arc of the man. He has fallen spectacularly and climbed back out repeatedly, reinventing himself as an actor, author and podcaster, even returning to the ring in 2024. The Hall of Fame honors are obvious; what is not is how openly he has exposed his own demons. That raw honesty, alongside the raw power, is exactly why Iron Mike still commands attention.
