Mink Stole

What fascinates me most about Mink Stole is her singular loyalty: appearing in every John Waters feature is a feat almost no actor can claim. In an industry that rewards reinvention and chasing trends, she chose instead to grow alongside one uncompromising auteur for over half a century. That kind of artistic fidelity to outsider cinema is rare and, to me, deeply admirable. A Baltimore native who embraced the strange and theatrical, she also sings and makes music. I respect performers who build a body of work on conviction rather than mainstream calculation, and she is a quiet legend of countercultural film.
