Misuzu Kanno

Born in 1966 in Kamakura, Kanagawa, Misuzu Kanno made her stage debut in 1992 and has worked mostly in theatre, often in plays by Hisashi Inoue and Koki Mitani, winning the Kinokuniya Theatre Award and the Yomiuri Theater Award for best actress. She is married to the jazz pianist Makoto Ozone. There are two kinds of career in this business: the one built on a single famous role, and the one built on being reliable enough to keep getting hired. The second kind is nearly invisible to reference works, because the mother, the boss, the neighbour never make the headline.
