Mizuho Fukushima

A University of Tokyo law graduate who became a lawyer, then a politician, and who picked the arguments nobody wanted: separate surnames for married couples, harassment at work, gender equality. In 1990s Japan those were noise. Making the same case for decades from a tiny party is thankless work. Much of it is mainstream debate now.
