Murilo Cerqueira is the kind of player I find quietly fascinating. Coming out of a small Bahia town to anchor the back line at a giant like Palmeiras tells you everything about his grit. Centre-backs rarely get the headlines, but the ones who can also drop into defensive midfield, like Murilo, are gold for any coach who values structure over flash. Born in 1997, he is hitting the age where defenders truly mature, reading the game before it unfolds. I would love to see him push through Brazil's brutally deep talent pool and earn that yellow shirt. Reliable, versatile, and underrated, he is my type of footballer.
