Nana Mouskouri

Nana Mouskouri commands my respect on sheer scale alone: roughly 450 albums across thirteen languages, including Japanese, is a level of cross-cultural generosity almost no artist matches. That serene, crystalline voice and those signature dark glasses are instantly disarming. What deepens my admiration is the second act. She didn't just entertain; she served in politics and earned a Commander of the Legion of Honour, choosing public duty alongside her art. I'm drawn to elder statespeople of music who carry themselves with grace and use their standing for something larger than fame. Her whole career feels like a lesson in dignity.
