Neal Katyal

Katyal strikes me as the kind of legal mind I find genuinely compelling: a Chicago-born scholar who argued before the Supreme Court and served as Acting Solicitor General. What I admire is that he is not merely an academic theorist; he teaches national security law at Georgetown while also performing on the highest stage a litigator can reach. That blend of classroom rigor and courtroom nerve is rare. When someone who has actually fought and won in front of the justices speaks about the law, the words carry a weight that pure theory never can. I am drawn to that practical brilliance.
