Nick Woodman

Nick Woodman fascinates me because GoPro began not as a tech ambition but as a surfer's simple wish to film himself catching waves. That instinct, born in Menlo Park in 1975 at the heart of Silicon Valley, became a whole culture of first-person adventure footage. What I admire most is that he aimed his camera at the ocean and sky rather than the office, approaching technology as a player rather than an engineer. His company rode dramatic highs and lows, but reshaping how humanity records its own experiences is no small legacy. I respect founders who turn personal joy into something the world adopts.
