My Take
Nikki Glaser earns my admiration the hard way, by climbing out of nowhere on the strength of nerve and a razor tongue. From the University of Kansas to the brutal arena of Comedy Central roasts, she built a name by saying what others wouldn't, then broke wide with her set at Tom Brady's roast. What impresses me is the balance she strikes, eviscerating everyone in the room while staying somehow likable and self-aware. Branching into podcasts and hosting gigs like FBOY Island, she keeps sharpening her own brand of provocation into genuine craft. Turning the edge of bad taste into real laughter is no small feat, and her fearlessness commands respect.
