Norio Wakamoto

You know it is him within three syllables. Born 1945 in Shimonoseki, raised in Sakai, Waseda-educated, and a riot policeman before he ever entered a booth. That detour is audible: the rolling, vibrato-heavy delivery is not the voice of a man who came straight to a microphone. Cell, Anago-san, Charles zi Britannia: one throat. He is 80, still working.
