My Take
What strikes me about Olivia Holt is how cleanly she shed the Disney child-star skin without the usual wreckage. Kickin' It and Cloak & Dagger could have boxed her in as a wholesome teen lead forever, yet her turn as Kate Wallis in Cruel Summer revealed a real appetite for moral ambiguity and slow-burn dread. I find that pivot genuinely interesting: she has the pop-friendly polish of a singer-actor but keeps reaching for darker, more interior material. The Teen Choice nods feel like a footnote to me. The actress underneath is the story, and I suspect her most defining roles are still ahead.
