Oriol Paulo

Oriol Paulo is, to me, one of the most reliable architects of cinematic misdirection working today. The Body and The Invisible Guest both detonate their twists with a watchmaker's precision, which is no accident: he came up as a screenwriter before directing, so he understands structure from the inside out. That both films were remade across multiple languages tells you the puzzles travel. I love storytelling where the final beat forces you to rethink everything you just watched, and Paulo delivers that with unusual discipline. I genuinely look forward to whatever he tricks me with next.
