My Take

Ovidiu Hoban earns my respect for refusing to leave the pitch behind. A defensive midfielder from Baia Mare who spent his career doing the thankless work of breaking up play, he transitioned into coaching and now serves as an assistant at CFR Cluj. I admire that arc deeply. The holding-midfield role is the least celebrated and most essential job on the field, and a man who mastered it is exactly who you want teaching positioning and grit to younger players. His Capricorn persistence seems to have carried straight from playing into mentoring. Careers of single-minded dedication like his deserve far more recognition.
