My Take
Honestly, the first thing that grabs me about Ichirō Hirosawa is that double label: politician and businessman. To me that reads like a guy who actually knows how money moves and how people work before he ever stepped into the political arena, not some career insider who's only ever shaken hands. He's Aichi born and bred, out of Mizuho-ku in Nagoya, and a Keio grad, so the brains are clearly there, but the business side tells me he's the practical, feet-on-the-ground type rather than a theory guy. He ran a games company whose shogi program won the world computer championship, then served as deputy mayor before becoming mayor of Nagoya in 2024. Quiet local workhorse energy, and I'm kind of here for it.
