My Take

What strikes me about Pero Antić is how completely he gave himself to Macedonian basketball. Standing at 210 cm and captaining a small nation's national team takes more than size; it takes belief that a tiny country can stand toe-to-toe with giants. I find his second act even more telling than his playing days. Stepping into the presidency of the federation says he never really left the court; he just moved upstairs to fight for the whole program. That kind of lifelong devotion, from captain to executive, is exactly the sort of quiet leadership I respect most in sport.
