My Take

Quincy Williams is a grinder, and that is why I respect him. Coming out of Murray State, hardly a football powerhouse, and clawing his way into the NFL takes real persistence. It would be easy to view him only through the lens of his more famous brother Quinnen, but he carved out his own place at linebacker, one of the most physical, unglamorous positions on the field. Reaching the pros from a Birmingham high school suggests years of relentless work. I always root hardest for the players who arrive through sheer effort, and his climb fits that mold.
