My Take
Raja Krishnamoorthi has one of the more compelling resumes in American politics: born in New Delhi, raised in Peoria, Princeton-trained engineer, then attorney, then U.S. Representative for Illinois. I find that combination genuinely useful rather than decorative. An engineer's instinct to diagnose systems plus a lawyer's command of argument is a rare toolkit to bring into Congress. His story is the immigrant-to-legislator narrative, but it reads as coherent, not accidental. He also keeps Instagram and X accounts. I tend to root for the pragmatists, and he looks like one who actually does the homework.
