Remko Pasveer

Remko Pasveer is a reminder that a goalkeeper's career can be a long, patient burn. Born in 1983 in Enschede, he was still tending goal for Ajax from 2021 into his forties and earned his first Netherlands caps in 2022, which in a position obsessed with youth is genuinely impressive. In 2026 he went home to Twente. At 187cm he has the reach you want, but longevity like his is built on reading the game and staying sharp far more than on raw athleticism. I find late-blooming keepers fascinating because their value is experience, not hype. The fact that he kept earning a starting role this deep into his career tells me his teammates trusted him completely.
