Rhona Mitra

Rhona Mitra occupies a particular niche I have always enjoyed: the steely, unflappable woman who can hold an action frame without saying much. Born in Paddington and starting as a model before branching into acting and music, she found her footing in roles like Sonja in Underworld and the no-nonsense officers of Strike Back and The Last Ship. There is a coolness to her screen presence that not everyone can pull off, a composure under pressure that reads as genuine. My honest read is that she is a performer who shines brightest in tough, grounded parts.
