Riteish Deshmukh

Riteish Deshmukh fascinates me because he built his name on comedy, which I consider the hardest craft of all. Making people laugh demands sharp timing, fearless self-deprecation, and an intelligence that rarely gets credited. That he won a National Film Award and multiple IIFA honors proves the substance underneath the jokes. What I admire most is his refusal to abandon Marathi cinema even while thriving in Hindi blockbusters. That loyalty to his regional roots, paired with national ambition, tells me he is a grounded artist who knows exactly who he is. I find that combination genuinely rare and quietly admirable.
