My Take
Ritu Varma appeals to me because of how patiently she built her career. Coming out of Hyderabad, she worked through short films and supporting parts before her breakout lead in Pelli Choopulu in 2016 brought her the Nandi Award and Filmfare recognition. I find it charming that someone with an engineering background blossomed as an actor instead. South Indian cinema gets reduced to spectacle abroad, but its acting depth is genuine, and Varma sits firmly in that craft-focused lineage. I am genuinely curious to see which roles she chooses next, because she seems to value quality over noise.
