My Take

Robin Lopez is one of my favorite role-player big men of his era, equal parts hard-nosed rim protector and total goofball. The Lopez twins are NBA royalty in their own quirky way, and Robin carved out a long career by doing the unglamorous stuff: setting screens, defending the paint, and brawling with mascots, which is genuinely his most famous side quest. He is also a massive Disney and SpongeBob nerd, which somehow makes the on-court intensity even more endearing. A Stanford guy who never needed to be the star, Robin is proof that knowing your role and embracing it can stretch a career across more than a decade.
