My Take
For me, Ryan McPartlin will always be Captain Awesome from Chuck. That role was a perfect fit, the impossibly handsome, relentlessly upbeat brother-in-law, and he played it with such warm, self-aware comedy that he never became just a punchline. It's a tricky thing to be the cheerful, good-looking foil and still feel likable, but he pulled it off and made the character a fan favorite. He came up partly as a model, which makes sense given the casting, and an Illinois background grounds him a bit. I'd love to see him land another role that lets that easygoing charm shine the way Chuck did.
