My Take
Ryan Zinke fascinates me less for any single role than for how many lives he has stacked into one. A decorated Navy man with a Bronze Star, then a Montana state senator, then a Congressman and cabinet figure, and a businessman besides. People who keep leaping into unfamiliar arenas usually flame out; he kept landing on his feet. He is plainly a polarizing figure, and I am not here to litigate the politics, but the appetite for reinvention is real and rare. That Eagle Scout-to-frontline-to-Capitol arc reads like a deliberately built life. I respect the conviction even where I might disagree with the man.
