My Take
Ryotaro Kan is a Japanese owarai tarento — a comedian — born in 1982 in Nerima, Tokyo, and a graduate of Kitatoshima High School. He trained at Yoshimoto's Tokyo NSC and is the member of the comedy trio Panther who plays the boke and writes the material. Japanese comedy is overwhelmingly a group format, and a trio only works if someone is willing to build the architecture of a bit rather than stand on top of it. Those performers rarely generate the profile pieces and the tabloid coverage that fill out an encyclopedia entry. Their reputation lives inside the industry and inside the act. From the inside, it usually reads as reliability. If you want to know who he is, the answer is on stage.
