My Take
Sean Faris is the kind of actor who deserves more recognition than he tends to get. For many viewers he is etched in memory as Jake Tyler in Never Back Down, all coiled physicality and intensity, and the frequent Tom Cruise comparisons were well earned. Beginning as a model and moving into roles like Kyo Kusanagi in The King of Fighters, he has gravitated toward action and physical parts that demand real commitment. He never quite reached A-list orbit, but there is an honest, workmanlike steadiness to his career that I find appealing. I always root for the dependable craftsmen over the flashy comets.
