Shawn Roberts

Shawn Roberts has quietly become one of horror cinema's dependable hands. The Stratford, Ontario native built his name on zombie films, from Land of the Dead and Diary of the Dead to his villainous Wesker in the Resident Evil franchise. I have a soft spot for actors who thrive in genre work, because carrying horror and action takes real physical commitment that prestige roles rarely demand. Rather than chasing leading-man fame, he anchors the worlds he inhabits with a grounded presence. He keeps an active social media following too, and I suspect his best, most varied work is still ahead.
