My Take

Goalkeeping is the loneliest job in football, and Dzhanayev chose it. Coming out of Vladikavkaz in North Ossetia, carrying a name rooted in those rugged Caucasus highlands, he spent his career as the last line where praise is thin and blame is total. That asymmetry is exactly why I respect keepers so much; they hold the fort knowing the math is stacked against them. The glimpses of ordinary life on his Instagram suggest a man at ease with himself, still living alongside the game. I tip my hat to anyone who stands in that goal and keeps standing.
