Steven Pasquale

Steven Pasquale reads to me as a serious craftsman hiding behind a recognizable TV face. Most people know him as the firefighter from Rescue Me, but the 2016 Lucille Lortel win for a musical lead is the detail I keep coming back to. An actor who can genuinely sing and carry a Broadway role is a different animal from a screen regular, and he does both. I have a soft spot for performers who move fluidly between stage, television and film without losing their center, and Pasquale, born in Hershey, Pennsylvania, seems exactly that grounded and versatile.
