My Take
Stig Tøfting is my kind of footballer. A combative defensive midfielder from Aarhus, nicknamed Tøffe, known for hard-hitting and sometimes reckless tackles, he was the engine and enforcer every great team secretly needs. I've always valued the unglamorous players who do the dirty work so the artists can shine, and Tøfting clearly lived that role. Moving into coaching afterward, including as an assistant at AGF, feels natural for someone who understood the game's grittier truths from the inside. There's an honesty to that style I respect. Denmark has produced plenty of flair, but it's the warriors like him I find most compelling.
