Sudheer Babu

Sudheer Babu wins me over on his backstory alone: a former professional badminton player who reinvented himself as a Telugu film star. From Vijayawada, he has shown serious range, from the action of Baaghi to the nuanced work in Sammohanam that earned him a SIIMA Special Jury award. The athletic discipline clearly carries into his screen presence and physical roles. What I admire most is the courage of a true second act, leaving an established sporting identity to start over in cinema. I have a soft spot for people who bet on themselves twice, and he is a fine example of that nerve.
