My Take
Sungje is an entertainer I think of as a genuine bridge between Korea and Japan. Best known as a member of the Korean group Supernova, he worked extensively in Japan, winning fans early with fluent Japanese and an easygoing, approachable personality. A Seoul Institute of the Arts graduate, he stretched from singing into acting too. Plenty of Korean stars visited Japan, but few put down roots and stayed active there as long as he did. Building a career across two languages and cultures takes real toughness, and I find myself genuinely tipping my hat to the grind that demands.
