My Take
Susan Egan is one of those performers whose work you know long before you learn her name. Originating Belle on Broadway, voicing the sharp, world-weary Megara in Hercules, and Rose Quartz in Steven Universe, she's quietly threaded through some of the most beloved roles around, even dubbing Miyazaki films into English. What impresses me is her range across stage, screen, and booth, and how much character she packs into a voice alone. To me she represents the kind of deep, unflashy talent that holds entire productions together while the spotlight lands elsewhere, and she deserves far more of it.
