T. Subbarami Reddy

Subbarami Reddy fascinates me as a genuine polymath: industrialist, Congress politician, film producer, and philanthropist all at once. Most people would settle for mastering one of those worlds. What wins my respect is that in 1993 he produced a Sanskrit film of the Bhagavad Gita that took the National Film Award for Best Feature Film, a project driven by cultural conviction rather than box-office logic. That tells me his ambition runs deeper than profit or power. I'm drawn to figures who channel their success back into heritage and charity, and Reddy's sprawling, generous career strikes me as exactly that kind of life.
