Takumi Ihara

Honestly, politicians usually feel like they exist in some parallel universe from the rest of us, but Takumi Ihara being from Iyo-Mishima — a town famous for paper manufacturing in Ehime — makes him feel oddly grounded. He worked his way up from Senshu University through the long grind of regional and national politics, and my gut says he's more the type to quietly show up at every local community meeting than to chase headlines. That Ehime stubbornness — mountain and sea, slow and sure — seems to suit him perfectly.
