Takumi Saito

Saito had every reason to coast on the face. Instead he picked up a camera. He shoots photographs, he directs films, and he signs the directing with a different spelling of his own name, as if keeping the actor out of the frame. His newcomer award came in 2015, when he was already in his thirties. Late, and it stuck.
