Teddy Sears

Teddy Sears is one of those actors whose name makes me lean in. A University of Virginia graduate from Washington, D.C., he has moved smoothly across legal drama, American Horror Story, Masters of Sex and, memorably, the villain Zoom on The Flash. To me, the ability to make a superhero antagonist genuinely menacing is a true test of craft, and he passed it with a chilling blend of charm and intelligence. He is a character actor who wins on texture rather than top billing, and that is precisely the kind of performer I find myself rooting for.
