Theodore Long

Theodore Long is proof that you don't have to win matches to become unforgettable. The Birmingham, Alabama native worked nearly every supporting role wrestling offers, from referee to manager to on-screen authority figure, drifting through WWE, WCW and NWA while quietly steering the drama. His cadence and presence could shift the mood of a whole segment, and his eventual Hall of Fame induction shows how much that's valued. I have a soft spot for performers who make the stars look good without needing the spotlight themselves, and Long mastered exactly that thankless, essential art.
