My Take

I always enjoy a player whose career outlasts his playing days, and Thiago Neves fits that mold for me. Born in Curitiba in 1985, he made his name as an attacking midfielder before moving into coaching, and I find the transition to leading Bangu's U-20 side telling. Attacking midfielders who become youth coaches usually carry a feel for creativity that they want to pass on, and I imagine that's part of his pull.
