Thomas Dekker

Thomas Dekker is a child-actor-turned-adult who actually navigated the transition with some intent. Voicing characters as a kid and then landing John Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles put him in genre fans' line of sight, and he leaned into edgier, indie material rather than chasing safe leading-man roles. I appreciate that he later moved behind the camera as a writer and director, the sign of someone who wants to shape stories, not just appear in them. His career hasn't been a straight rocket, but it's been curious and a little fearless, which I'll take over polished and predictable.
