My Take
Tim Allen built one of the most durable brands in American comedy: the gruff, tool-obsessed everyman with a soft heart underneath. Home Improvement made him a Golden Globe winner, but voicing Buzz Lightyear made him immortal — that confident, slightly deluded space ranger only works because Allen plays him completely straight. Add The Santa Clause and Last Man Standing and you have four decades of family entertainment from one performer. I admire how stubbornly consistent he is; trends come and go, but Allen keeps telling his kind of joke and audiences keep showing up.
