My Take
Toni Kukoc is one of my favorite kinds of athletes: the one who quietly rewrites what is possible. A 207 cm Croatian out of Split, he handled the ball like a guard, and he was among the first established European stars to truly cross into the NBA. What I love is that he embraced the sixth-man role on those great Bulls teams and won the 1996 award for it, valuing impact over ego. His FIBA Hall of Fame nod feels earned. That a franchise still keeps him on as a special advisor tells you how deeply he was loved.
