My Take
Trey Parker might be the most underrated composer in American comedy. Everyone knows South Park for its shock value, but I would argue the show's real engine is his musical instinct, trained at Berklee and finally vindicated when The Book of Mormon conquered Broadway and won him a Tony for direction. I admire how he treats no target as sacred while keeping the craft immaculate; the satire lands precisely because the songwriting and structure are genuinely excellent. Nearly three decades into South Park, he still seems to be having fun, and that mischievous stamina is something I honestly envy.
