My Take
What fascinates me about Vincent D'Onofrio is his refusal to be typecast. From the terrifying intensity of Full Metal Jacket to gentler character work decades later, he disappears into roles in a way few actors dare. The fact that he's also a singer and writer tells me he's restless by nature, never content inside one box. Born in Brooklyn in 1959, he's built a remarkably durable career on craft rather than vanity, and that Sitges Best Actor win confirms what I always sensed: he's a quiet powerhouse who reshapes a scene just by standing in it.
