My Take
Wendy Raquel Robinson is, to my mind, a master of comic timing who never lets the comedy flatten her characters. Her Tasha Mack on The Game and Principal Piggy Grier on The Steve Harvey Show are sharp, warm, and unmistakably human, the kind of roles that age well precisely because they feel lived-in. Her 2014 NAACP Image Award felt overdue rather than surprising. What I value most is her longevity in single roles across many seasons, which only happens when audiences genuinely trust a performer. Howard University clearly gave her a foundation, but the instinct underneath is hers alone, and it shows.
