Xie Leilei

Xie Leilei is part of why I'm curious about China's idol groups. Born in Huizhou in 1998 and educated at Shenzhen University, she joined SNH48 in 2015, moved to GNZ48 in 2016, and has worked as both a singer and an actor, playing Bai Su in the 2018 drama Legend of Yun Xi. I tend to enjoy spotting talent before the wider audience does, and a dual track across stage and screen suggests ambition worth tracking. Any early take is partly a bet, but those are the bets that feel most rewarding when they pay off. I'll be watching to see where she lands.
