My Take
Zhang Zhizhen represents something exciting to me: a genuine pioneer. Chinese men's tennis lacked depth for years, yet this Shanghai-born, 193 cm player from the prestigious Shanghai Jiao Tong University climbed to a career-high world No. 31 in 2024 and became the highest-ranked Chinese man in history. Cutting a path where few have gone before is lonely, demanding work, and he has done it with conviction. I imagine the serve that height must generate and feel a real spark of anticipation. He carries the weight of a new era for Asian tennis, and I am rooting for him.
