Zlatko Burić

Zlatko Buric is the kind of character actor I find endlessly compelling. Born in Croatia in 1953, he built a career across borders and languages, anchoring Nicolas Winding Refn's Pusher trilogy before exploding into wider recognition with his European Film Award and Guldbagge-winning turn in Triangle of Sadness. To peak this commercially in your late sixties is remarkable, and it speaks to a craftsman who never coasted. His move from Croatia to Denmark, reinventing himself in a foreign industry, mirrors the resilience he brings to the screen. Casting him in Superman and beyond only confirms what discerning directors already knew.
